McNulty Ice Cream Parlor in Miller Place

We go here so the time. The ice cream is homemade and delicious. My favorites are the peach or the cherry pistachio. The worst thing about this place is trying to choose what you want. They make the best peanutbutter sundae I've ever had.

Good prices and friendly staff. Would get 5-star if you could pay with card, not just cash. Another minor thing, there wasn't any napkins on any of the tables, which seems to be their intended practice.

They have a wonderful assortment of flavors, but no one seems to understand what gluten is. My husband is gluten intolerant but enjoys ice cream with chocolate chips in it. We've tried three times this season. When asking which flavors are gluten free, he has been told only soft ice cream, only frozen yogurt, and only vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Dairy products are naturally gluten free unless you add cookies, cake, or something like coloring which contains gluten. Why do the servers not have even a list of allergens for customers to browse? The third time was not charmed. It was a strike out. The wonderful flavors are worth a 10 mile trip each way only if you get to eat ice cream. We won't be back.

I called and asked to speak to the owner. I wanted to ask about their “homemade” ice cream. NYS law prohibits ice cream shops from pasteurizing their own mix. I asked if they buy their mix, and if not, what makes them able to make their mix in store, since you’re only allowed to sell pasteurized ice cream, but are unable to do so in store in NYS. She got defensive. Said I can email her but she won’t talk about it over the phone. I asked for her email, she then got angry and refused to give me her email. And said that she worked very hard for her ice cream mix, which she stated she doesn’t make herself. You could have just refused to answer, which I’d totally accept! No need for major attitude.

Amazing as usual! Homemade ice cream in a cozy part of town with great out door seating. What more could you ask for. A definite must try if you're in the area.

Really enjoyed the ice cream after biking at Rocky point.Tried 3 different flavors and liked then all. Nice outside setting, plenty of parking.

We go all the time over the summer. The ice cream is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. On hot days the line is long, and the summer character visits on Monday nights draw a big crowd, but it is always worth the wait.
